Become a member

You can join Aloha at any time of the year. Are you interested? Come and participate in our trainings.

You can become a member of D.S.T.V. Aloha by filling in our online registration form, or to download the registration form and handing it in to one of the board members.

Note: You can only become a member of Aloha if you are a student or employee at the University of Twente or Saxion. Every member is required to posses a UnionCard or CampusCard. Here you can find the current prices. Please feel free to contact the secretary if you have any questions about this.

Costs (for 2025/2026):

  • an annual membership fee of €45 or a half-year membership fee of €25;
  • association fee €45 ;
  • volunteering at the UT-Triathlon*;
  • completing 2 bar shifts**;
  • optional: a student membership with the Dutch Triathlon Federation (NTB) for €36.75;
    • optional, on top of the student membership: an athlete license with the NTB for €36.75.***

*The UTT is the annual triathlon event on campus and was already being organized before Aloha existed. Since then, it has always been run by (former) members, and because we’re so close to it, we volunteer in large numbers. You can do all sorts of tasks: course marshalling, guiding athletes in the transition area, helping with supplies, and more. After a great day, we eat together and already look forward to the next edition!

**The bar shifts take place in the sports center, of course in our bright orange shirts. It’s super fun to do this together with fellow Alohans! After your shift, you can write down your experiences in our bar book, which also contains memories from long before your time. The best part: a large part of the proceeds goes to the club, so you’re directly helping support training and activities.

***You need an athlete license to participate in divisional races with Aloha and Triathlon Club Twente (TCT). It’s also useful if you plan to participate in at least three recreational races.

If you are having doubts about becoming a member, feel free to come to our trainings and get to know us better! You have the right to come to three trainings before you decide if you want to be a member. We hope to see you there!
